As vice president of applications and infrastructure, Kyle Donaldson leads enterprise application strategy, technology delivery, and digital transformation initiatives that enable business performance, operational excellence, and customer-focused innovation across Evergy. He works closely with business and technology leaders to advance technology capabilities, modernize platforms, and support the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

Mr. Donaldson brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience. Prior to joining Evergy, he served as Vice President, Technology and Chief Technology Officer for U.S. Tax at H&R Block, where he led technology delivery for the company’s U.S. tax business. During his tenure, he led large-scale technology modernization initiatives, including cloud transformation, platform consolidation, DevOps adoption, and the implementation of generative AI capabilities. Before H&R Block, Mr. Donaldson held leadership positions with GE Energy and is a graduate of GE’s Information Management Leadership Program.

Mr. Donaldson holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Kansas State University. He is a graduate of the Centurions Leadership Program of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
