KCP&L to Review Grid Modernization Efforts at Stakeholder Meeting
KANSAS CITY, Mo., March 21, 2019 – KCP&L will host a public informational meeting to review its
five-year capital plan on March 27, from 6-7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Lincoln Room of
the Capital Plaza Hotel, 415 W McCarty St., Jefferson City, Mo., 65101.
KCP&L representatives will provide a brief presentation on how the utility is expanding efforts to
modernize the electrical grid. Communities and customers will benefit from initiatives to improve
reliability, utilize smart technology, upgrade aging infrastructure, and provide greater and easier
access to renewable generation sources.
Attendees will be welcome to ask questions or provide feedback regarding these projects.
