Executive Vice President Utility Operations & Chief Customer Officer

Chuck Caisley is executive vice president of utility operations and chief customer officer for Evergy, Inc., an S&P 500 company and electric utility headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Evergy serves more than 1.7 million customers in Missouri and Kansas. Mr. Caisley leads the company’s transmission and distribution operations, customer service, and public affairs areas at Evergy where he has responsibility for the company's community and customer strategy, communications, marketing, economic development, government and regulatory affairs and public relations functions, including oversight of all non-regulated products and services, including small-scale renewable generation, energy products and services platform, energy efficiency and demand response portfolio.

Mr. Caisley joined Evergy’s predecessor company, KCP&L, in 2007, as director of government affairs. Prior to joining KCP&L, he was president and chief executive officer of the Missouri Energy Development Association, the industry association for Missouri's investor-owned natural gas, water and electric utilities. In 2004, Mr. Caisley served as both the chief of staff and top political advisor to Missouri House Speaker Catherine Hanaway -- the first woman Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives.

In addition to his responsibilities with Evergy, Mr. Caisley currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of MEM, a workers’ compensation mutual insurance company located in Columbia, Missouri. Actively involved in the community, Mr. Caisley currently serves on the board of directors for the Kansas City Police Foundation, the Kansas City Zoo Foundation and the Greater Wichita Partnership. Previously, Mr. Caisley served as the board chair for the Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC) as well as the Kansas City Zoo.

Mr. Caisley graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He has also earned a Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Caisley currently resides in the Kansas City metropolitan area with his wife, Susie. They have two children, Rose and Ben.
