As vice president, safety and operations planning, Kevin Noblet leads the safety and training function, as well as strategic planning and cross-functional strategic initiatives. Additionally, he oversees energy resource planning, transmission and distribution engineering, generation engineering, power marketing, fleet and facilities.
Mr. Noblet served as vice president – delivery for KCP&L from 2016 to 2018. His responsibilities included leading T&D construction & maintenance, transmission operations, engineering, vegetation management, and fleet. He was also responsible for customer service oversight. Additionally, Mr. Noblet served as an executive sponsor for the 2018 One CIS project. Mr. Noblet also previously served as vice president - generation for KCP&L from 2012 to 2016, senior director - renewables and gas generation, senior director - supply services, and director of risk management. Mr. Noblet held several regulated and nonregulated positions with Aquila Inc. prior to its acquisition by Great Plains Energy, including vice president - energy resources and director of origination. He also was a staff electrical engineer for Burns & McDonnell.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics from William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Ks.
Mr. Noblet currently serves on the Member Committee/Board of Directors for the SPP. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Kansas City Sports Commission, Working Family Friends and Rocky Mountain Electric League. He is also active coaching youth sports.
