As executive vice president and chief administrative officer, Greg Greenwood has management responsibility for corporate strategy, regulatory, supply chain, and information technology.
Mr. Greenwood served as senior vice president, strategy with Westar Energy from 2011 to 2018. He has held various financial roles with Westar Energy since joining the company as a staff accountant in 1993. In 2006 he was named vice president, major construction projects. From 2003 to 2006 Mr. Greenwood was vice president and treasurer. He also has held directorships in finance, corporate finance, financial strategy and planning and analysis.
Mr. Greenwood received his bachelor of business administration in accounting from Washburn University in 1988 and is a certified public accountant. He is a Leadership Greater Topeka graduate and Leadership Kansas graduate. He also is a graduate of MIT’s Reactor Technology Course for Utility Executives.
Mr. Greenwood is on the Easter Seals Capper Foundation Audit Committee and board, a board member of American Red Cross, a board member of Downtown Topeka Foundation, and is a trustee and member of the Board of Directors for the Washburn University Foundation. Greg also serves as a member and current committee chairman of the Foundation's Investment Committee.
